Rimmel Kate Moss 08 Lipstick Review

Hello lovelies! I have been using this lipstick for quite a while, so thought it would be a good time to do a review on it. First off, I have loved Rimmel lipsticks for a while now. Since my junior year homecoming dance to be exact. And even though they did not get kissed that night, my lips still looked awesome. That's why I was so excited when I saw they were going to be releasing the Kate Moss line. Now although I know these are a favorite among beauty bloggers, I haven't heard many reviews on my favorite shade, 08!

The thing I love the most about Rimmel lipsticks, especially the Kate Moss ones, is that you get so much for your money. I think that I payed less that $5 for this and it contends with the quality of my MAC lipsticks. The color actually stays for quite a while! Other than staying power, there are some other great things about this lipstick. It goes on so smoothly and blends onto my lips so well, with a pretty satin finish. There also is a light fruity/vanilla fragrance to it that I really like. The scent is not too overpowering, it's just enough! I also am in love with the color of this lipstick. I think it suits my skin tone really well! I would describe the 08 color as definitely a "your lips but better" shade, with a rosy base. This is for sure one of my favorite lipsticks at the moment, and I can't wait to try more in the collection! What is your favorite Rimmel lipstick?

Hope you're all good!

My College Budget Friendly Skincare Routine

As fabulous as some skincare products are, I cannot afford 80% of them. If you are a college student, than you probably know the everyday struggle of keeping money in your bank account. It is so hard when you are passionate about beauty and health to be on a strict budget, isn't it? There is always something fun and new to try! But I think I have figured out a way to keep myself content with the products I have, or at least my skincare products :)

First, I like to take off my makeup with the Boots Botanics Softening Cleanser. This cleaner is a watery cream consistency that you massage onto your dry face then take off with a warm washcloth. It takes off all your makeup, even waterproof mascara really easily!  Its only $8.50 which I think is such a steal for it's greatness. Within one use I noticed my skin softer and cleaner!  I would say its suitable for dry/combination skin.

Next is time for exfoliation. I had been lusting over the Clarisonics for a long time, but decided that I didn't want to put down the cash for that when I could be using it responsibly for things like food... SO, I was strolling through Meijer one day and saw the Conair Tru Glow Sonic Cleansing Brush. It was 50% off the original price which is over $100, so lets just say I grabbed it before anyone else could. It has made such an improvement to my face its unbelievable. My skin is clearer, healthier, and brighter. I really would recommend visiting a Meijer store really soon and buying this, if you can. I wet my face then put some of the Simple Refreshing Face Wash Gel onto the brush head. Its super gentle on my skin and lathers really well! The two products work really well together.

After that I use the Boots Botanics All Bright Toner. I use this just to make sure I have gotten all the bits of makeup off my face. This toner makes my skin feel very clean and refreshed!

Lastly that I moisturize with either the Clinique Dramatically Different or Even Better, depending on how much moisture my skin needs. Both are wonderful products with guaranteed results. Though a bit on the pricey side, I usually just steal some of the trial sizes my mom has stuffed in her cabinets. Always rummage through those cabinets ladies! You never know what goodies you might find.

As always, I hope you're all good! Have a great week :) Let me know if you have any budget friendly favorites!

2013 Beauty Favorites

Okay, so you know how when you're younger and people always say time flies as you age? I never used to believe them, but this past year has made me think differently. I can never remember a year moving by so quickly! I am excited for all of the things 2014 has in store, but for now let's reflect on 2013...

Favorites for Face

Primer: Most definitely The Body Shop Tea Tree Pore Minimizer . If I could pick one favorite product of the year, this would be it! Smells great, prolongs makeup wear, and keeps oil away. It's an all around winner!

Foundation: MAC Studio Fix Fluid. So this foundation has gotten some not so rave reviews, but I LOVE it. In the summer months I am super oily, so the powder based fluid really helps my face look more matte. If you are looking for a way to keep oil at bay then I definitely would recommend this foundation. I would say its a medium coverage but very buildable.

Concealer: Mary Kay Concealer.  I'm not a huge fan on Mary Kay but I swear by this concealer. It covers up everything! The bottle lasts forever too.

Blush: Another MAC love! MAC Powder Blush in the shade DAME . I have very pale skin, so finding a blush that doesn't look ridiculous on me is quite a chore. The lady at the MAC counter matched me with this shade and I think its perfect for my skin tone! It's a very light pink with a matte finish. I think it gives the perfect rosiness, sort of that slightly flushed look.

Highlighter: MAC MSF Centre of Attention. I mentioned this in my December favorites, but I just cant get enough of it! The lightness of it adds the most perfect glow to my pale cheeks, without making it look like I dumped a whole bottle of glitter on myself. This was a limited edition holiday release, so I'm glad I got my hands on it!
Favorites for Eyes

Eyeshadow: Number one favorite of the year goes to MAC Trax. It's a super rich plumy golden shadow that is so eye catching. It practically jumped off the display and got my attention! My runner up eyeshadow would be the Victoria's Secret shadow in the shade Make-Out. Super pigmented and super glittery! Perfect for nights out.

Eyeliner: L'oreal Lineur Intense Felt Tip Liquid Eyeliner.  This liner has changed the way I apply my eye makeup. It is basically a fail proof tip and makes fancy flicks SO MUCH SIMPLER to do!

Mascara: My favorite new mascara discovery of the year would have to be the Maybelline Mega Plush Volum' Express Mascara. The brush is super huge and is a clump free application!

 Favorites for Lips

Lipstick: Clinique Chubby Stick Intense Broadcast Berry. I bought this chubby stick in the summer and thought it was too dark, so I just threw it into the deep depths of my makeup bag. I pulled it back out when autumn began, and it basically changed my life. I have always loved the chubby sticks, but the intensity of this color is so divine! The Broadcast Berry shade is a deep raspberry color, which perfect for the winter months. The chubby sticks are also wonderful because they have moisturizers in them, almost like a lip balm.

Lip Balm: C. O. Bigelow Rose Salve. Lets just say I basically wouldn't be able to survive the winter without this.

What were some of your favorites? Hope you're all doing well. Have a fantastic week!

My Eleanor Calder Inspired Purchase... Zara Messenger Bag

If you're like me you spend hours studying Eleanor Calder fashion blogs. Her style is so impeccably simple and feminine that I cant help but be obsessed with it! If you're reading this wondering who in the world Eleanor Calder is, she is the incredibly beautiful girlfriend of One Direction's Louis Tomlinson. Eleanor is a style icon within the One Direction fan base and I am indeed guilty of idolizing her a bit. She shops mainly at places like Topshop, Zara, and Urban Outfitters, making her style really easy to attain! So when I was browsing Zara's website a few weeks ago and saw the Messenger Bag with Zips, it caught my eye. Although she does not have this particular handbag, it definitely reminds me of something Eleanor would purchase! I ordered this purse right then and there!

I am so glad I did.

It is a two fold purse with spacious room in each section. The two sections do not zip up, but the flap that encloses them is quite large. This bag is of medium size, which is perfect for just throwing over your shoulder! The zips on the side really complete the look though, making it super trendy! I'm in love. Whenever I put it on I feel just a tad like Eleanor. Now all I need is my superstar singer boyfriend...

But as for what's in the bag...
